Surfrider Pacific Rim will be having regular monthly meetings the first Wednesday of each month at the Tofino community hall. We get the hall at 7pm, so the meetings will start shortly after. Please spread the word.
The next meeting is February 1st, 2012. This will be the first meeting of the year so we will be looking at the initiatives our chapter will focus on during 2012.
New, old and potential members are welcome to attend.
Thanks to everyone who came out today for the New Years Surfrider Beach Cleanup-and to Live To Surf for letting us put it in their dumpster! All the best to everyone for 2012!
Pictures taken by Surfrider crew at an impromptu beach clean up at Schooner Cove. We can’t say for certain that this debris is from the Japanese Tsunami but there is certainly has been a huge increase in the amount of debris of Japanese origin showing up on Tofino beaches.
Surf Rider Pacific Rim would like to send a huge thank you out to the residents of Ucluelet, who donated over 200$ at tonight’s movie premiere of the Rip Curl movie FLOAT. Thanks to Long Beach Surf Shop for Renting the Community centre for us, Rip Curl for letting us use the movie, And Chocolate Tofino for Donating their delicious Ice Cream, for the Ice Cream floats the staff from Long Beach were serving up.
We will be doing another Premiere in Tofino on Saturday night at 7:30pm in the community theatre. so come on down. you could win a heated wetsuit vest from Rip Curl.

Kris Montgomery was the winner of the 6’0 monster fish from Aftanas surfboards that we (Pacific Rim Surf Rider) donated the board for the Queen of the Peak surf contest last weekend. Just to say a big thank you to volunteers. Kris was the First guy to offer a hand so it was fitting it went to him.
thanks for checking the website, and remember nobody likes a dirty beach!
Surfrider Pacific Rim would like to recognize someone locally for their efforts in beach clean ups as our volunteer of the month. This is Keanna and Bodey Hasz, they have done so much in the way of not only cleaning up the beaches and attending Surfrider beach clean ups, but also our local park in Ocean Park. We would like to recognize all their hard work and thank them for setting such a great example for all, in keeping our beaches and parks clean! Thank you to our youngest Junior Surfriders of Tofino, you two rock!
